I travel to Maine each Fall to capture the beauty of the leaves changing and the uniqueness of the Maine coast. Hiking the mountains in this area is one of my favorite things to do as you will always come across glades and views that are just outstanding - as this stream was on the way to Angel Falls.

In the town of Rangeley located in Maine - in the upper left corner near Canada - there is quite often a lingering fog that nestles into the town. This photograph was taken about 10:00 A.M. as the fog receded away from the lake and the mid-morning sun illuminated the changing trees in a beacon of brightness.

35 - Bailey’s Orr’s Bridge
The view from my Aunt's camp across Casco Bay to Orr's and Bailey's Islands - Fall 2006 - the unique granite slab bridge is the only one like it in the world. The full moon and illumination by the setting sun highlight the scene in magic light.

Driving on Route 16 through Erols, New Hampshire, on my way to Rangeley located in Maine - in the upper left corner near Canada - I came across this still lake with the beautiful birch in the foreground. This photograph was taken about 5:27 PM and I was the only car on the road. Taken on 9-24-2008 with a Nikon D300 with the 18-200mm VR lens at 1600 ISO @ 1/250 s at f/8.
31 - Maine Mountains
While waiting the cover of night to begin the fireworks display from the town of Rangeley in Maine, we traveled to Height of Land - an overlook that provided great vistas over the valleys surrounding Rangeley lakes - and there as the setting sun disappeared behind the mountains, we were treated to nature’s glowing display of her own “fireworks”. Taken on 7-3-2007 at 6:51:04 PM with a Nikon D80 with the 18-200mm VR lens at 800 ISO @ 1/60 s at f/7.1.
32—Lobster Shack
At low tide on Bailey Island in Casco Bay in Maine, this lobster shack stood atop the rocks covered in seaweed. The myriad of colors of all the surrounding effects unique to this coastal image has made this one of my favorite photographs.
